This event will be magical days of faerie hearts connecting through heart circles, dance parties, workshops, rituals, the K(no)w talent show, poolside chats, hikes in the woods, love lounge encounters and more.

At this gathering, we aim to create a container where faerie or faerie curious folk feel safe and loved regardless of their gender identity or expression, race, ethnicity, size, nationality, sexual orientation, ability level, neurotype, religion, elder status, family structure, culture, subculture, political opinion, identity, and self-identification.

About The Faeries

While no one can define what a faerie is or isn’t, at the 2023 Gathering, we asked attendees to tell us what they believe a Radical Faerie is. Here is what some said:

  • A Radical Faerie is a Queer person who lives their authentic life out and proud. A Radical Faerie believes in open hearts and open bodies, communes with Nature and explores their personal spirituality intentionally. A Radical Faerie believes what makes us.
  • A Loving, respectful, creative, free spirit.
  • Creative, edgy, healer, visionary, eccentric, non-conforming
  • A radical faerie creates freedom by being fully free, now.
  • Someone who lives to one’s true self and strives to become more authentic.
  • A Radical Faerie is a creature of immense love. It sees injustice and feels pain. It’s willing to act when action is necessary. It, as an aspect of nature, will defend itself and all of nature’s resources. It is a part of something larger and greater. It opposes zealotry and plague. It draws power from light and shadow, the divine feminine and masculine, and order and chaos.
  • An identity I strive for that expresses itself in quiet, skillful, unobtrusive, and magical ways, healing, connecting, carrying light into the seen and unseen worlds.
  • A self-identified queer person who doesn’t fit into the norms and wants to express themselves in whatever fashion they choose.
  • A queer person who rejects heteronormativity and compulsory assimilation, who believes that to be queer is to be different, and that is fabulous and sacred.
  • Passionate queer expression.
